1. Drop an Agent on Your Client's Server
Download a GFI MAX RemoteManagement Agent from
your online Dashboard and simply drop it on your client’s
server, remotely if you wish.
The Agent is a very small piece of code that:
- Runs as a Windows Service
- Barely registers on the Task Manager in terms
of memory usage and processor load
- Doesn’t require .Net or other pre-requisites
- Never interferes with any other program or makes
changes to the registry
- Won't degrade your systems performance
- Only uses small amounts of bandwidth - its upload
is just 2k in size (encrypted https)
- And never interferes with network performance,
using outbound-only https, so no firewall changes
are necessary
Agent settings can be copied between servers, to
deploy agents to multiple servers easily
Agent data passes through most firewall configurations
and contains no user-identifiable information
2. Configure the Step-by-Step Wizard in Just
10 Minutes
Run through the Configuration Wizard, and set your own
thresholds. Monitoring begins immediately. You can adjust
the settings from either the Agent or the Dashboard.
At the completion of each monitoring cycle, the Agent
uploads a small packet of information (typically less
than 1k in size) via outbound https to GFI MAX RemoteManagement’s
central servers. No in-bound communication occurs so
there’s no need to open up your firewall.
3. Login to Your Dashboard and View Your
Clients' Systems
As a GFI MAX RemoteManagement customer you can set up
your dashboard so that http://dashboard.your-name.com
takes you straight to your login. Customised, it gives
you a professional look and builds confidence with clients
and end users.
